Avinash Jha
UWS Nepal Country Director
Avinash joined UWS in 2017, bringing a strong background in education leadership, community development, and programme management. He holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy and Management from Kathmandu University, where he graduated at the top of his class at the School of Management. He is an alumnus of the U.S. Department of State’s International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) and Global Shapers Community, an initiative of the World Economic Forum.
As the Country Director of UWS Nepal, Avinash provides strategic leadership for all UWS operations in Nepal, collaborating closely with national and subnational governments, local communities, and partners to deliver quality education to over 21,000 children in some of Nepal’s most underserved regions.
