Graeme Hodge
UWS Global, CEO
Graeme Hodge is the Global CEO of UWS. He is a leader in international development whose work is deeply informed by more than two decades of experience and a foundational belief in the transformative power of education. Having served as a Chief Executive Officer in the charity sector, Graeme has a track record of guiding strategic growth with a focus on sustainable, locally-led solutions. With a background as an Early Childhood Educator, he brings a unique perspective to his work, connecting the power of education with global social impact, and is committed to building strong, ethical organisations that deliver lasting change.
Graeme is committed to UWS’ mission and is passionately aligned with the organisation’s core values, child-centred and decolonised approach to global education. He firmly believes that every person deserves the opportunity to reach their full potential and that education is a vital part of achieving that. The UWS vision of ‘a world with zero education poverty’ is, to him, a call to action that demands ambitious, strategic, and visionary leadership, which he seeks to bring, alongside the team of expert colleagues and communities around the globe.
I am part of UWS because:
I have seen first-hand, around the world, how quality education can change the trajectory and life chances of children, especially those facing the challenges of extreme poverty in under-resourced communities. To be part of an organisation that works so impactfully, reaching tens of thousands of children every day, is a privilege and a tangible way to enable even more children to flourish and reach their innate potential.
