Shazia has twenty years of experience in International development. She has led on the Strategic Development and Delivery of the British Council South Asia Development portfolio focusing on Education, Gender and Inclusion, Youth, Civil Society and Governance, Justice Security and Stability.
Shazia has designed and implemented social sector projects for FCDO, EU, Qatar Foundation and British Council in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka , Nepal and Afghanistan. She has been a university teacher and was one of the founder members of the first women university in Pakistan.
I am part of UWS because:
I have seen the transformative power of education when children and young people have thrived and reached their full potential because they had the opportunity to learn. UWS provides such an opportunity and an environment and communities which facilitate this learning.
